The Festival is pleased to be supporting two very worthy charities and we hope you will generously support them.

looking after premature babies and their parents
The existing premature baby unit does a really important job and does it well.  However lack of space is a real challenge and presents real difficulties in providing the very best 'development care' for babies and parents. A visit to the unit clearly shows that the existing unit requires a modern premature baby unit to provide an appropriate working environment and suitable space for often seriously ill babies and their distraught parents.
The new unit to be funded by the Forever Friends Appeal is well overdue and the new Bath NICU will act as a model/pilot for the benefit of research and education for a new generation of health care buildings and new life saving equipment.  Funds are almost in place but more money is needed!

Dorothy House is a vital charity for those with life threatening and other serious illnesses and its work place extends to all areas of Bath and beyond. The hospice provides professional in house care in a beautiful tranquil setting and also helps and gently supports patients and families in their own home.
Annual running costs are high and the hospice depends on the generous support of the community.
