wood carving, furniture making, musical talents and inventions, organ building, art and stone masonry. Artefacts on displat included Sweetland's 1883 Oil of Broad Street Bath and his much beloved hat! Sir Isaac Pitman
Pioneer
of shorthand, Sir Isaac Pitman provided one of the most used
systems of shorthand in the world.
A former school teacher, Pitman lived in Bath and continued to work in the city for most of his life. William Harbutt (Inventor of Plasticine) 2009 - James May's
