The Festival was pleased to be support two very
worthy charities The previous
premature baby lacked space and was a
real challenge with geat difficulties in providing
the very best 'development care' for babies and
parents. A visit to the unit clearly showed
that the existing unit required a modern
premature baby unit to provide an appropriate working environment
and suitable space for often seriously
ill babies and their distraught
parents.
The new premature unit NICU, opened
in 2012 and was funded by the Forever Friends
Appeal enabling the unit to act as a model/pilot
for the benefit of research and education for
a new generation of health care buildings and
new life saving equipment.
